City Council Experience
I served from 2006 until 2020 on the Northampton City Council. After the City Charter change in 2012 I became the first Councilor to chair the Cities Finance Committee, a Chairmanship I maintained for the eight years I remained on the Council. This coupled with my experience as a Massachusetts Accreted Assessor makes me extremely well versed in municipal finance.
I have also served several terms as Chairman of the council’s legislative matters committee. This committee deals with the Northampton City Ordinances and any changes being made to them. One of the most important and confusing ordinances is zoning. For my over 40 years as a real; estate broker I have been dealing with zoning. I understand Northampton zoning and can envision how proposed changes to zoning are likely to play out in Northampton’s neighborhoods.
Keep my 40 years of experience working for you.
Let me be your spokesman at City Hall.
Together we can keep Northampton a great place to live and work!
